Alice d'Apolito is an Italian contemporary artist and animator, living and working between Leeds, UK and Tokyo. Her work combines pop iconography, character-driven narratives and painting. Central to her work is her signature alter ego, a recurring persona she uses to address identity, personal mythology, emotional states and observation.

Her sketchbook archives, animation training and international career, including a collaboration with For The Win in Los Angeles, shape her painting and animation. Her work connects fine art, motion and sculpture. This led to her debut art toy, Bunny Pop 好き, the first in a series of projects that bring her characters and alter ego into sculpture and collectible objects.

Recent exhibitions include the DA.YO.NE. group shows 大♥カワII 展 and 大エロカワ展 at KICHI Gallery in Ebisu, Tokyo, alongside Rockin'Jelly Bean and Yozo, as well as SOFT POWER at D.Contemporary Gallery in London and Light Dances with Darkness at the Orangerie in Munich. She shows painting and sculpture side by side, in Tokyo, London and Munich.

She has been spending more time in Tokyo recently, and SHDW is working with her on a series of projects, starting with the limited Tokyo edition of Bunny Pop, launching 24 September.
